How to get published and win writing competitions on this week’s Lie in with Nicola on Chorley 102.8 FM

Dea Parkin

Writers, this one is for you, with two book club guests in for a chat on Sunday.

This week I’m looking forward to  chat with Dea Parkin, editor in chief at Fiction Feedback and secretary at the national Crime Writers Association (CWA).

She’s a poet and writer with a mission to help writers improve their work and get themselves published.

Dea will be talking about a number of opportunities to writers to make their name, starting with the Chorley & District Writers’ Circle short story competition, which deadlines on September 30 and the CWA Debut Dagger and the CWA Margery Allingham short story competition, which both open on October 1.

And be very afraid, because I’ll  also be talking to local writer and paranormal investigator David Hayes about his writing and the inspiration for his latest spooky anthology.

You’ll will not be surprised to hear he was born on Hallowe’en..

Lie in with Nicola, including the Less Ordinary Book Club, from 9am until 12 noon on Sundays on 102.8 Chorley FM.
