BBC Radio Lancashire’s big boss, managing editor John Clayton, will be joining me on the Lie In on Sunday to talk radio.
In an ironic about turn, expert broadcaster John will be at the other side of the radio desk as I, newspaper journalist of our time and rookie radio presenter, press the buttons – I really hope I don’t make too much of a fool of myself!
John will be chatting about his remarkable career as a broadcaster, his role at BBC Lancs – which he has held since 2001 – and he’s promised to talk about some of the bloopers which inevitably occur when live guests are mixed with live radio and the technology goes wrong.
He will also talk about his daughter Katie’s remarkable musical success in The Band – Take That Musical – which I reviewed around a year ago when it first came to Manchester. It’s still playing to rave reviews.

I’m really pleased he’s coming in to Chorley FM, I have a weekly slot talking about some of the papers on his station, so great to have it the other way round.
