Fabulous Washington DC

I’m in fabulous Washington DC where we lucked out with the weather. After a boiling few days temps have now dropped and it’s now chucking it down which makes my sunburned face even odder. Flying back to reality tonight.

We picked Saturday – the hottest and busiest day to do a hop on hop off bus tour. It was amazing but crowds and traffic were insane for the Earth Day concert.

I’ve eaten and drunk very well, checking out some fabulous eateries plus a few uniquely US experiences. Loved my first Jamba Juice. I was excited about my first Five Guys burger experience but it became terrifying when I learned the fries were cooked in peanut oil and free nuts were on every counter. My severe nut allergy crossed that one off the list. There is one of these in the Trafford Centre in Manchester now -I’m not sure if they do the nut thing there..

I enjoyed trying out the underground Metro – a unique experience with dimmed down lighting and wider trains. We never struggled for a seat despite the insanity of Earth Day.

But my favourite experience so far, apart from spending time with the lovely F, has been Georgetown. Keep tuning in!
